How do players join a room?
The host creates a room and gets a 4-letter code plus a QR code. Players go to kleveroo.com/join, type the code (or scan the QR), pick a name and they're in. No app to install, no signup required for players.
Do I need an account to host?
No — anyone can host a free room, and players who join don't need an account either. A few premium game modes and trivia packs are gated behind Kleveroo+, but the standard party modes are free to host.
How many players can join?
Most party modes support up to 30 players. Trivia and Board Battle scale comfortably for full classrooms and large work teams.
Does it work remotely?
Yes. Share your host screen over Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, or Discord. Each player still uses their own phone or laptop to answer — the live scoreboard updates for everyone in real time.
Can I bring my own questions?
Absolutely. Build a custom trivia pack, generate a Board Battle board with AI, or pick from the community library. Everything you create stays yours and can be reused across rooms.
